I cant edit text :(

Recommended Posts

When I write some text in Paint.net then I would like to edit it, such as remove some words but I cant.

Everytime I put the cursor over the text and click on it, it opens to write other text box over the other text.

In photoshop for example when you have a text and you click on it, you can rewrite it or erase words.

Is this feature available in Paint.net ? If it´s, where is it?

Thank you!

Paint.NET is a bitmap editor. This means your text is stored as a bitmap image. You can’t edit it like a text editor. Only as a picture or drawing.

My advice is, as Oma said; put your text in a deferent layer. Then you can edit that layer without disturbing your background.

This ability is planned for Paint.NET 4.0.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Like the others said, PdN doesn't have that feature.

I would like to see it in though.

Correction: Implementing this feature will not be done until at least Paint.NET 4.0. It is dependent on the rendering and data layer changes I plan on making. That doesn't mean it will necessarily be in 4.0 proper.
