Curmudgeon
I'm certainly no pro in Paint.NET, so I'm sure others can do a much better job. But I liked the idea of a wine glass so I started playing around with it. I used the black background on a separate layer so I could see the details of the glass and the wine on separate layers. It's just several ellipses, and erase where they overlap, with some gradients on the glass and on the surface of the wine. I'll play around more with it when I have time but this looks like fun. This took me about 10 minutes to make. Align Object is your friend when placing the ellipses...

Curmudgeon
I like it how u do it looks really nice hehe, lots of trial and error, and error and error It was spread out over about 7 layers at one portion. The flute and wine portions, as well as the base are all ellipses, erasing portions where they overlap, positioned with "Align Object" and then fine tuned with "Panelling". I used some reflected gradients on the glass, then followed it up with some transparent gradients trying to make it more see-through. The base, I used a radial gradient with a couple different opacity whites. For the stem portion, I just made a narrow rounded rectangle, cutting it nearly in half vertically and panelling it over, then duplicating the layer and flipping it horizontally. I then used a linear gradient followed by a transparent gradient. If something looked too opaque, I tried using a gaussian blue on it. I'm still not satisfied with mine, and will probably try a few more in the future. Just try out a number of things, eventually you'll like the way things turn out

kirby145
I like it very much. One thing though, how do you make it with wine in it Quote "By trying to reinvent the wheel every time we find very often with square wheels" ...X-blaster

k.digennaro
I like it very much. One thing though, how do you make it with wine in it thats the easy part, just move the wine layer under the glass layer so it looks like its inside the glass, i think i just used a few layer gradients and the transparent colors to create the actual wine I was hoping one of the masters would come along and make one so we could see how it was supposed to look And along come bb00. Looks awesome are you telling me im not a master *goes back in his corner* Quote Support Our Troops, End The War
