Why cant you register with your yahoo ID

Recommended Posts

You can put it that way, or just say that Gmail pwns Yahoo

Anywho, A.D is right. There have been several spam attacks in the last few months that have done some pretty big blows to the forum (the biggest one caused the forum to get shut down for about a day, just to recover from the attack).

Yeah, it used to be possible. The change happened after the Great Bot Attack of '07. Most of the spam accounts were registered through yahoo.com addresses.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

How come this forum is getting more popular when it comes to spamming. I've seen other forums where spam is very very rare.

More popular is good. But popularity in any sense means popularity with spammerz.

That wouldn't make much sense at all... ;-)

if they want to spam why dont they make thier own forums...???
Where would the fun be in that, spamming your own forum?

Not that I'm saying spamming is fun... oh, you get the gist.

EDIT: topic-wise, join the forum without a Yahoo account (like you have) then just change your e-mail address in your User Control Panel (Profile > Edit account settings).

warningz...spam spam spam...warningz lol the other forum i go on(a gaming clan im in) hasnt had spam in all the time ive been there i think its because this is really big. if they want to spam why dont they make thier own forums...???

The point of one spamming is to harm or otherwise irritate/harass the owner/members of whatever they spam.

Not implying that's a proper way of expressing ones anger, but... Myrddin already said this, didn't he? >_>

Who do I owe the 10 pence to?

Seriously, though, that's good to see. Usually we have questions thrown at us by one-timers who sometimes even throw 'thank you' to the wind. Not a peep, not an ounce of gratitude.

Excellent to see you keeping in touch with your topic :D.
