Paint.NETNoobie
When I run the setup file, the installer shows for 1 second, then disappears. Any clue why this is happening to my laptop?
david.atwell
1. What are your laptop's statistics? (Operating system, RAM, processor speed, available hard disk space, etc.) 2. What version of the .NET framework is installed? You need at least version 2.0. 3. Have you tried deleting the installer and re-downloading the file? 4. Have you tried re-installing the .NET framework? 5. Is it showing any visible error message at all, or just vanishing silently? More information may help us answer your question. Also, take a look at this: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=854 Oh, in addition, please take a look at the rules, specifically the ones about specific thread titles. Yours is too ambiguous (of course it's a problem, or it wouldn't be in this forum, and over 50% of reported bugs are installation-related); you may want to try something like "Installer vanishes immediately after execution" or something, or we will be forced to lock this thread. :-) Thank you! david.atwell
1. A Sony VGN-FS315M. That tells me nothing. I need specific information about the machine's RAM, processor speed, etc. I don't know what the Sony's stats are. :-) 4. Not yet. Try that. BoltBait
Just try rebooting your laptop and trying the install again. The installer probably thinks that another copy of the installer is already running. A reboot will take care of that.
