Wither
I think he was referring to all the extra stuff on it. There's no 'easy' way to make that. Lots of layer, lots of Gaussian Blur, lots of and an equal amount of pressing the delete key. here's as close as I could get. ... All those reflections and tight corners are beyond me though. If that's "close enough" to you I wouldn't mind sharing the .pdn. Quote YouTube | Myspace | deviantART

silverhammer
Well I've briefly used Photoshop and I can say that you cannot easily accomplish that effect in Paint.NET. Whither's result is just about as good as you're going to get. Sorry? Quote My deviantART My Pictorium Gallery My ImageShack
david.atwell
Oh, you could get closer. It would just be a lot of work. :-) Quote  The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

jchunn
It looks to me like wither did a fantastic job of it! If that is not a good enough starting point, I would say you don't need paint.net help, you need to hire a graphic artist. Nice job wither... I'm impressed. Quote Total hack. Crimson
well, that's your $650 worth of image editting software you have to be VERY good with PDN to accomplish something like that.
