Installer bug when closing system restore point

Error "Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Staging" when installer is closing system restore point

Screen

I'm using Custom install and intalling program in "C:\Program Files\Grafika\Paint.NET (v3.22)" not "C:\Program Files\Paint.NET"

When I click "Continue" installer hangs.

When I use default path everything works OK.

Version 3.20 works OK. Tested version 3.22 Beta 2 and 3.22.

Did you change the default path after installation, or when you first installed Paint.NET? If so, the only thing you can really do is remove Paint.NET and re-install it correctly. Changing the directory after installation causes lots of trouble.

I'm always unistall any previous version before installing new. I'm always using custom install and I pick custom folder for installation. I'm not changing installation folder after installation.

Could you show us what the message is when that screen pops up? I don't mean the error message, I mean the box below that with all the exception details.

This looks like a bug in the installer.

For now, as a workaround, try installing to the default location and then re-run the installer and then choose the other directory that you want to use.
