Debate: Should we really have so many debates to debate?

Recommended Posts

Really guys (read: sabrown100), intelligent discussion is great, it's what this part of the forum was made for. But let's limit debates to 3 or 4 at a time. Anything more will get us bogged down, and unable to focus our attention and articulation on the issues that concern us most.

Sparknotes version:

No more debates for now, please.

I agree. I love debating, but one only has so much energy to put into it.

1-3 is fine. Otherwise, you don't get as many responses/good quality responses.

Aren't actual debats linked to the next election in USA? In what way could they be of any interest on the PDN forum which is decicated for PDN stuffs and graphics and world wide...

Just lock them IMO. If I need to debat on this subjects, I sure Google will guide me!

@Bugster: sabrown100 will be the Troll 2008!

I agree. The topics being created by sabrown100 are nice, but are being created in rapidfire. Maybe if they were spread out a little (like one new one every 1.5 weeks), then it'll be a little easier to respond to.

I dont like the debates a lot ,

he's posting massifly debates :)

Who is the troll now? :wink:

A troll is not a person who posts a lot. A troll is a person who damages the community by spamming, being un-freindly, constantly breaking the rules, and is an annoyance to everyone. Or at least the defintion of a troll of what I know. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll

MadJik, this is the overflow, AKA the off-topic. We're allowed to discuss intelligent topics here. No-one said you were obligated to participate in any thread.

No, but you post incessantly, especially when high on chocolate. Seriously, have you considered that you have an allergic or otherwise reaction to the stuff? Most of the posts you make are pointless, too.

On topic, I think that a debates forum should be set up if more are going to be set up. It's too good an opportunity to miss: intelligent debate from all the people on the forum would be great!
