cooldude2222
Ok. I have been using Paint.Net v3.10 for a while and i like it. However, i would like to update it to 3.20 as i have seen that it has a lot more functions. Everytime i click check for updates, this would happen: No matter how many times i try, it would still happen. I have my internet connection on all the time but it still says connection lost. Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks. -Cooldude2222
Rick Brewster
You probably have a software firewall that's interfering. If the built-in updater isn't working you can still manually install the update from the website, http://www.getpaint.net/ Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
cooldude2222
Does updating remove downloaded plug-ins? -Cooldude2222
david.atwell
No. If the plugins you have are included in the update, they will be blocked from use, but they will still be in your folder until you delete them. david.atwell
I don't understand what you mean. No, it will keep the plugins completely intact, as I said. However, updating from v3.10 to v3.20, you will definitely have to update several of your plugins; specifically, any Pyrochild, MadJik, and Ed Harvey effects you may have. As for updating - try downloading directly from the site. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. MattBlackLamb
Your plugins are safe but if you want to be really paranoid you can create a backup of your Effects & File Types folders just in case. Then if anything does go wrong (which it won't) then you've still got your plugins. Quote dA Son, someday you will make a girl happy for a short period of time. Then she'll leave you & be with men that are ten times better than you can imagine. These men are called musicians.
