I'm crying like a little girl...

Just got back from watching Toy Story 3. I'd give it a 10/10. It was probably the best of the series.

Are you kidding?

I doubt it. I've heard nothing but good about this movie, and quite a few of my friends say that it made them cry.

I haven't seen it yet... The friend I was gonna see it with ditched me... for someone else... to go see the same thing. Talk about a slap in the face. I guess that belongs in the Rants thread, but there you have it.

I just saw Knight and Day with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. I'd rate it a 7/10, because it was an interesting movie. Though, they could have made the plot a bit better by having the goal of the movie to be about something other than an everlasting battery. It just seemed to get a little repetitive, but I still had fun watching it.

Last night, I finally got around to watching My Name Is Khan after hearing a lot of good stuff on it, and i gotta say, it is one awesome movie, even if most of the dialect was in Hindi, but the subtitles helped out. :)

If you haven't seen it, i really suggest you do. 10/10, i reckon.

Last Airbender? I've watched the episodes on Nick before and they're not at all interesting, no offense. The story is quite nice actually, it's just the presentation of it is bad. :)

This is the film/movies thread. He's talking about the movie, The Last Airbender, not the cartoon, Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Anyone seen Inception? That's a film I'm definitely looking forward to :D

Ditto. I haven't seen it yet, and I know it may have is already been out.

You are absolutely right, pryo.

@yy10, while The Last Airbender is a live action adaption of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the movie has gone off on a bit of a tangent, from what I have heard, read, and understood with the directing of M. Night Shamwow. I was asking how anybody liked the movie. :D

Officially retired from this forum. Have a nice day.

The Last Airbender blew. It won 5 Razzies... I haven't watched it, and I'm quite content with that decision considering its immensely negative reception. :)

I watched the last 30 minutes of I am Sam yesterday. Sean Penn is such a great actor!

I watched two and a quarter movies yesterday (Love Netflix Streaming):

La Femme Nakita 8/10 (maybe 9/10, not sure)

I've been enjoying the new TV show, Nakita, and I wanted to see how it all started. I was not disappointed. I'd seen Bridget Fonda (so hot!) in Point of No Return (1993) which was the American remake. But, after seeing it, I think La Femme Nakita was better.

The Fighter 8/10

Christian Bale did an amazing job playing the crack addict brother. And, am I the only one that wants to smack his mother in the face?

As for the quarter of a movie...

I started Metropolis (1927--restored version) but by that time it was 4 in the morning and I kept falling asleep. It was great and I look forward to trying again later.

I just watched the documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop. 7/10.

It was entertaining. But, far from the best documentary I've ever seen.

Before seeing the movie I thought it might be a hoax. After seeing it, I highly doubt it.

Most recently watched "Departures". Japanese film with subtitles.

Unusual, likeable, quirky, sad, uplifting & beautiful. Had a tear in my eye. Maybe that's 'cos I'm an old softie deep down under this hard man exterior.

8/10

Previously watched "44 Inch Chest" (Ray Winstone, John Hurt, Ian McShane, et al)

Loved every minute of it. VERY profane with loads of extreme language. Get your mind around that and deep down it's a love story. True!

8/10

Watched the documentary film TT closer to the edge 3D about the 2010 Isle of man tourist trophy, not into bikes much but found it highly interesting and would pick it as my film of the year, along with The Rise of the planet of the apes. Yes I am being serious about rise of the apes for once a hollywood film with a truly engaging story and two great character actors John Lithgow and Brian Cox, oh and the guy from Stargate Alantis as well David Hewlett who played Rodney McKay.

Other good films I have seen recently The fighter starring Christian Bale ( one of my fav actors also check out The Prestige and Harsh times ) The remake of True Grit by the Coen brothers and City of Gods subtitled but don't let that put you off an amazing film.
