BoltBait
I am no longer worried about seeing End Game spoilers online. 9/10 At 3 hours it was a bit long. They could have cut half an hour off the end. Anyway, it was a nice way to complete the story of 20+ films. Tears were shed, I won't lie. BoltBait
BTW, a month from now HBO releases Deadwood (2019) a movie based on the most excellent TV series. Finally some closure for that story. I'm really looking forward to that one. 2 Quote Click to play: Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and how about a Computer Dominos Game
AndrewDavid
Sat and binge watched the first 7 seasons of Game of Thrones. Everything a mini series should be. 10/10 @BoltBait A few surprises and tears to be sure. 9/

Scratch that...I just looked up the IMDb info and she's listed. As you said @BoltBait, 'finally some closure'. cornemuse
An movie and tv series, from Austrailia = 'Mystery Road', Movie is ok, I prefered the series, not the same story line as the movie. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mystery_Road_(TV_series) -c- Quote 'Where's my plinth?' BoltBait
LEGO Movie 2 - 0/10 The first one was OK. This one... not so much. It is basically the first one plus evil Duplo blocks. I want my money back. How to Train Your Dragon 3 - 7/10 Good, solid movie. Tears at the end, for sure. Bad guy in the movie was subpar, to be honest. But that wasn’t the most important part of the movie anyway. BoltBait
Toy Story 4 - 8/10 (all four of my kids rated it 10/10) Good, solid movie. Very emotional. It was nice to see Bo Peep become a strong character. Also nice to see them cover new ground of toys created by kids--funny stuff in there. Stay for the credits, all the way until the end. TrevorOutlaw
Rented Cold Pursuit, starring Liam Neeson, last night via Amazon, and I give it a 5 out of 10. BoltBait
Spiderman Far From Home 8/10 (my kids rated it 9/10) Cute love story. Bad guy was interesting and the scenes with him are intense. Credit scenes were... um... interesting? I can’t wait to see the fallout in the next movie! EDIT: ...and, it doesn’t look like there will be a “next movie” as Marvel and Sony can’t come to an agreement. Bummer. Except for Spider-man: into the spider verse, this was the best Spider-man movie I’ve seen and I was really looking forward to the next installment. cornemuse
Does anybody here remember (on ABC, from years ago) a series called "Life on Mars"? Had Harvey Kietel & Gretchen Mol among others. It was actually a pretty good series. Anyways, it was based on a BBC same-named series. I have been watching the british one, (16 episodes, I think). The BBC one is better than the ABC one, outrageously funny! Brits allow stuff NOT allowed here. If you can find it, well worth watching! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_on_Mars_(British_TV_series) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_on_Mars_(American_TV_series) I like both! BoltBait
It was raining, so today was a day of guilty pleasures.... Corvette Summer (Movie 6/10 Annie Potts 9/10 ❤️) followed by Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band (Movie 7/10 Soundtrack 9/10) followed by FM (Movie 7/10 Soundtrack 11/10) I think FM may have the best soundtrack of any movie ever. If you’ve never seen the movie, it’s like the TV show WKRP in Cincinnati. TrevorOutlaw
John Wick 3: Parabellum 6/10. Too many fight scenes where we know Keanu Reeves win each fight. The plot seem to be more convoluted and the final acts had me scratching my head, as if they left the final acts to prepare for a 4th John Wick movie. BoltBait
Stuber 7/10 It was funny throughout. Good action scenes although I think the basic premise of the movie was a bit flawed. Everyone I know that had eye surgery could see better right away. Doom: Annihilation. 2/10 Why is it so hard to make a decent movie out of such a brilliant video game? Terrible acting... I’m guessing these “actors” got pulled from either soap operas or film school. The special effects look worse than the live rendering in the video game Doom 3. And, the plot? That was better in the game as well. Rubber suited aliens. Editing is also really bad—people often have different expressions when switching camera angles. Spelling errors in the credits? AND a non-ending... you really thought this was good enough to rate a sequel?! Ha! *sigh* Quote Click to play: Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and how about a Computer Dominos Game

cornemuse
A couple of Brit tv series. Prime Suspect, 7 seasons worth. With Helen Mirrin, most excellent production. Another season more recently, different actress, also british, also excellent. The Night Manager from a spy novel by John Le Carre. Also well done, follows the novel closely. (the novel is a good read too). 6 or 7 hours long. Quote 'Where's my plinth?'

BoltBait
I've had this DVD for a while, but never watched it... Mortal Engines (2018) 6/10 Pretty to look at, but lacking a cohesive story. BoltBait
Ford vs Ferrari 8.5/10 Christian Bale knocks it out of the park again—what an actor! And there’s a certain car ride in the middle of the film where Matt Damon explains the skill required to properly drive the car... brilliant scene. I left the theater wanting to drive 200 MPH... (are these movies sponsored by local law enforcement?!) Now, I’m wondering why this is... because, I don’t leave a John Wick movie feeling the need to shoot people... 😂 Anyway, it was a good film. Funny, exciting, and touching, plus excellent performances all around. And, finally, they did a great job recreating the time period without throwing it in your face. 1 Quote Click to play: Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and how about a Computer Dominos Game
