Ego Eram Reputo
Light between Oceans 6/10 Meh. Weak characters and fairly contrived plot. The attempt to redeem the plot by adding 11th hour moral 'twist' did not work. Fassbender was wooden. I know he was supposed to be a recovering war vet, but he played the character without emotion. My partner and I had high hopes for this film. Lacking any sort of empathy for the main characters we struggled to finish it. Jack Thompson playing the salty, wise old Captain was the most enjoyable character. Zagna
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 was pretty good. Not as much raw action as Vol.1 but more character development and still plenty of action. All the cameos were lovely and seeing Jeff Goldblum dancing And John Crichton in gold body paint *waka waka waka waka waka* Edited April 26, 2017 by Zagna
Zagna
Spider-Man: Homecoming was pretty good. Tom Holland did well, Keaton is a great Vulture... what else to say without spoiling anything... Spoiler Karen was lovely and MJ is different from previous films... The third suit looked dope af. Kill mode I liked it more than Wonder Woman Edited July 5, 2017 by Zagna
BoltBait
Blade Runner 2049 8.5/10 The director was pretty brave to take on a sequel to such an iconic movie. His vision of the future is even more bleak than in the original movie and very well executed--the sequel is pretty good. Maybe not quite as good as the original which I rated 10/10. But, It is filmed in the same style and pace. The sets are amazing and the music compliments the scenes well. The special effects were amazing. Plus, there's a pretty good twist. And, now for the negatives... At 2h 45m, the movie was too long. Once this is out on DVD, I'd like to see a fan edit this down to 2h even. The original was an action movie, this is more of a mystery movie. This is going to put some people off. Mild spoiler: Spoiler The ending of the movie was not as satisfying as the original because in this movie they didn't deal with the big bad. I'm assuming they left this open for a sequel. But, I can't believe they thought a sequel to this movie would be possible. I mean, seriously, only true fans of the original movie are going to like this one. It is simply too slow for the general movie going public to be entertained by this. A nit: in this movie, umbrellas didn't have illuminated shafts like they did in the original. BoltBait
The Foreigner 7/10 This is basically Jackie Chan's version of Taken. He stretched his acting muscles a bit--not just punching and kicking. He does a good job. Pierce Brosnan also did a great job as the British government official he goes to to find out the names of the bad guys that killed his daughter. 1 Quote Click to play: Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and how about a Computer Dominos Game

Zagna
The Last Jedi was epic, maybe even more so than The Force Awakens. There was even a moment where I almost teared up. Zagna
Deadpool 2 has the grace and elegance of Deadpool 1 without the burden of an origin story. Be prepared for the usual meta jokes and silly antics with a dash of plot twists that you would never imagine happening in a movie. And keep your eye open all the time for some really out of the blue cameos during the movie and during credits. Zagna
Solo: A Star Wars Story is as worthy of its title as Rogue One. Grand adventure, surprising cameos that will blow your mind. I did not see that one coming. Spoiler Han Shot First ?

Rogue One was great, Solo not so much. I would rate it 6/10 and I'm being generous. BTW, the public seems to agree with me... second weekend ticket sales dropped off a cliff. It will be lucky to make it's cost back. Zagna
Ant-Man and the Wasp was pretty good. Wholesome and fun movie, no real ooh moments but enjoyable throughout. The end credits, not the credits scene, but the credits itself, were really well made most like 3D printed scale models of key scenes. Really nice looking. Credits scene was nice too. lynxster4
Watched 'A Quiet Place' last night with John Krasinski and Emily Blunt. I was totally scared! One of the best horror films I've seen in awhile. Would def recommend it. 1 Quote My Art Gallery | My Shape Packs | ShapeMaker Mini Tut | Air Bubble Stained Glass Chrome Text with Reflections | Porcelain Text w/ Variegated Coloring | Realistic Knit PatternOpalescent Stained Glass | Frosted Snowman Cookie | Leather Texture | Plastic Text | Silk Embroidery Visit my Personal Website "Never, ever lose your sense of humor - you'll live longer"

Sort of the whole point. Currently watching Castle Rock on Hulu. It's an extremely S-L-O-W start and I hope things will pick up. I do love all the Stephen King Easter Eggs in it and Bill Skarsgard (Pennywise) is playing a totally creepy kid, who's been locked up in the basement of Shawshank prison for years and hasn't aged a day..... ? BoltBait
Last night, I may have watched one of the worst films I've ever seen. Future World (2018) starring James Franco 0/10 Yup. Zero. It is some sort of Mad Max / Cherry 2000 mashup. Only, it takes the worst of everything. Now, I can appreciate a bad movie that was made bad on purpose (think, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes)... but, this was just plain bad. I want my money back AND I want my time back. Learn from my mistake and skip this one. 1 Quote Click to play: Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and how about a Computer Dominos Game

TrevorOutlaw
Rented Harry Brown via Amazon Prime that starred Michael Caine. The movie started out real slow but by the middle act, things began to pick up pace, and by the movie's end, it got to the point it was quite predictable. I give it a 4/10 rating because I am sick and tired of the constant use of F-bomb throughout the movie coming from rebellion youth, a scene that is clearly X-rated but not as explicit, and showing an underground world that needs to be purged by the law.
