Simon Brown
Have you every written a program?
BoltBait
Sure. I've written LOTS of programs. Most of the stuff I write now is a combo of C#, SQL, and Client-Side Javascript. (After all, I do have a BCS and work as a programmer for Intel.) pyrochild
I've built Firefox for kicks. That's coded in HTML, CSS, XML, and XUL. There's no HTML in Firefox's source... And XUL is Firefox's XML, as is XBL. There's also JavaScript and C++. So... XUL, XBL, CSS, JavaScript, C++. david.atwell
I wrote some bloody potato in MS QBasic back about ten years ago. :-P It was fun, I suppose... I'd like to become a coder, though. pyrochild
True, but when it comes to programming, or at least learning the foundational concepts, nothing beats a good book, as generally, they've already been screened for good content before reaching the publisher. Generally. Whereas 95% of what you'll find on the web is absolute bloody potato. And if you don't already know the basics of programming, you don't even know what you should be looking for.
