Plug-ins downloaded, but still unusable..........

Recommended Posts

I have been using paint.net for a while now, but have had no luck with the plug-ins. I have downloaded and re-downloaded them and put them in the correct folder. (when I open the effects folder there are dozens of them in there) but they do not show up in my paint.net program. I have the newest version now and have tried downloading the updated versions of the plug-ins, and now I am getting "TROUBLE LOADING PLUG-INS" message. (this is the first time I am getting any message) I also have windows vista, could this be the problem? btw, I do have adm. privilleges. Anyone with advice?? PLEASE???? TIA

There is a lot of weird stuff... Why do you have a dmg file there? As far as I know, DMG is Mac OS only. And why do DLL files show the Paint.NET icon? Do you open dlls with PDN?

To make it clear: All what has to be in the effects folder are dlls and maybe ini files. And anything in the folder should be downloaded from the plugin forum (or self-compiled with codelab). All other files shouldn't be there and cause only errors.

I'm surprised the mods didn't ask you to change th title. It says repeated punctuation is very obnoxious.

Don't be a rule nazi when several mods have obviously ignored it.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Actually, if you really want to split hairs, the rules stipulate no overusing of exclamation or question marks, nothing about the overuse of periods...
5) You only need one exclamation ! or question mark ? It's really obnoxious when people post like this: "How do I do this ??????????????????" or "That's awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" C'mon people. We get the point just as well if you only use 1 or 2. Thanks.

I stand humbly corrected. My apologies, you're absolutely correct. :-)
