DarkCanijo
My daughter received a Genius MousePen tablet for XMas. Is there a way to get Paint.NET to recognize the pen pressure? Thanks.
barkbark00
I have the same tablet! Anyway, pressure sensitivity is only supported on Tablet PCs, or with Wacom Tablets in Windows Vista...sorry. harold
What if you write a custom driver? I would write plugins, if I knew what kind of plugins were needed..
barkbark00
Hey, if you have the means, please do! Take responsibility for your own intelligence. 😉 -Rick Brewster
harold
Well I don't have that pen, otherwise I could try.. I haven't written a lot of drivers though, so it's likely that it would become unstable and buggy I would write plugins, if I knew what kind of plugins were needed.. barkbark00
I could beta test for you... Take responsibility for your own intelligence. 😉 -Rick Brewster
harold
You'd have to debug for me as well (so uhm, about every 10 minute?) it would of course be much easier if I had one myself, or if you'd write the driver instead of me (do you have the driver SDK?) I would write plugins, if I knew what kind of plugins were needed..
barkbark00
do you have the driver SDK?Is that specific to the Genius MousePen Tablet? I'm not even sure where I'd get it... harold
Sorry, its name has changed (or I didn't remember it properly), it's now called DDK (try the ISO image near the bottom) Disassembling an existing driver will help loads (if you are familiar with assembly) otherwise you could at first 'just dump all output' and you'll find out how it works edit: oh and if you don't have one yet, please get software for a virtual machine (VMware, Virtual PC, Virtual Box), the chance it actually pretty high that your driver will crash it sometime (unless you're very extremely careful, but that's no fun is it? ) I would write plugins, if I knew what kind of plugins were needed.. Rick Brewster
Ok this is not a forum for driver development, please take that discussion elsewhere. The original question has been answered, so I'm closing this thread.
