harold
I am fully aware that this is not the 'right' way to do it, but I was wondering... If you change [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Paint.NET\TARGETDIR] to the new location, would the updater etc understand the changes? Pantera1395
I've messed with regedit before. I had to edit shell32 to download the Longhorn Inspirit Bricopack. And I couldn't download anything that involved virus protection, cookies, or shell repair software. So my guess is that it probably wouldn't work. Why do you want to edit anyway? Rick Brewster
No. Just reinstall Paint.NET and tell it the new location. Otherwise you're going to be in for a world of hurt. harold
Don't worry, I wasn't actually going to do it, I was only wondering I have no need to move Paint.NET Why do you want to edit anyway? It is said that the updater does not work after moving Paint.NET, so I thought that changing that location-key might solve it.. Still, I will have to try this in a VM Quote I would write plugins, if I knew what kind of plugins were needed..
