Fractal Discussion

Fractals facinate me, but because I don't understand how they work, I rarely use them. However, I did find one on Apophysis that interested me. I'll show you two pictures to show you how I see humor in it

More Hanna-Barbera I would think, i.e. tom and jerry etc.

I just started playing with fractals tonight actually and I'm not getting too far yet, can't say it interests me to much, to much mat I suppose, and for those of us that aren't inclined in such things it's a little aggravating to get a predetermined outcome. I've been using terragen like there is no tommorrow though.

That first fractal looks like something OMA would make.

I concur.

Since I missed this until just now...

I just downloaded Chaoscope last night. Although I'll probably never understand the math behind it. Here's my first creation. :D

I've been using Terragen for a little while... Here's my Terragen gallery. :D

Yata I feel like I have not seen you around in awhile. Nice to see you and thanks I think oma does nice work.

I've been gone for a while.

EDIT:

I just broke 2k posts!

Indeed you have, I'll have to pick up the pace!

Has anybody used fractals as Terragen textures? They come out really funky-like :|

Yeah they do, I typically just randomize mine.

Here's a link to my latest and greatest Chaoscope project: really here.

*blink*

Broken link.

@Sozo: This is what happened when I clicked your link.

That was a fun one....

Whoa, weird... now fixed.

Here it is!

Fullview is a necessity, as my fractal is at 2048×1536 resolution. :o
