Layer Rotate/Zoom function

This is bothering me for a long time: why isn't there a more precise way to zoom in/out a layer than with the slider? For the rotate en pan you can go as precise as you like, but if you want to zoom you have to go in steps of +/- 5%. Or is there a workaround for this?

Yes. Click the zoom slider to give it focus. Then, use the up and down arrows keys on your keyboard to fine-tune.
