R3VENGE
there is the strangest problem with him being the last one. if there was a war dont you think they could all of just regenerated?? b/c in a series where he changes character to the current one.well dont you think theyd of all regenerated and transformed, cheating death. does anyone understand what im saying? Myrddin
It was the Time War: many questions that could easily be answered by some predetermined canonical story device are, in fact, reversed into inexplicitness, shoved under the carpet, and attributed to an untelevised event. It was the Time War, things happened that cannot be resolved. Gallifrey was razed, that was said to be virtually impossible due the fact it existed in its own space/time 'bubble', completely cut-off from the interference from the rest of Universe. But it was. Deus ex machina! Having just discovered this article, the above might now be condemned into silly ramblings: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_War_(Doctor_Who). (How cool is that image?!) worldnewser
Who knows? Maybe the Daleks have a weapon that just strikes a Time Lord down. *bang*. No regeneration. Maybe it's the "cruciform" thing (if anyone remembers the Master mentioning it) It was the Time War, things happened that cannot be resolved. Gallifrey was razed, that was said to be virtually impossible due the fact it existed in its own space/time 'bubble', completely cut-off from the interference from the rest of Universe. But it was. Well, it could be resolved. Problem being that the universe would go bang if the Doctor went back and dared to even try. And I don't think Gallifrey was exactly cut off from the rest of the universe. I think. Didn't the Sontarans get through to it during a Fourth Doctor serial? Of course, I could be wrong. I'm never totally right. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding everything. I've had a very confusing day today Quote  deviantART Space and the Relative---Space Art Basics Tut (BETA)
Myrddin
I'm never totally right. And I am? Pfft. And yes, the Sontarans do penetrate to Gallifrey... for one whole day. I still find that so comical. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gallifrey#Geography The planet is surrounded by a quantum force field as well as an impenetrable force field called the transduction barrier. This prevents all outsiders (with hostile intent, or otherwise) from approaching the planet and allows the Time Lords to maintain their status of absolute neutrality. It also lets them observe the actions of the rest of the Universe without actually taking part in its affairs. The barrier was breached on one occasion by the Sontarans, when it was sabotaged from within (The Invasion of Time, 1978).I'm sure I read somewhere that is existed in it's own realm of time and space, detached from the Universe, but as I cannot seem to locate the quote, I won't speak that as Gospel.I may have read it on the DW Forum for all I can remember, in which case it was either speculation, or a one-liner from an episode that someone recalled. vista?
Doctor and Donna outta the Rift XD Although if I'm right, theoritically, that would not be possible as the rift can bring things to Earth as well as taking things and being sucked up by the rift would do something awful (I know this due to Torchwood where Gwen/Toshiko discover the rift can also take things in). So therefore, if Donna + The Doctor were able to come out of the rift, they would probably be mad.

Well, it's not so much the Rift sucking in/spitting out things/people that's awful and makes them go mad. It's more like what they see (the kid from that Torchwood episode went mad from seeing the eye of a collapsing star or summin). I bet that the "rift" reference in that image means something. Maybe the Rift will spit out Rose! Maybe Torchwood has something to do with bringing her back Hey, you never know... On another note, Torchwood's season finale is set for April 4? They skip over this week? Edit:^^^Its wat Wikipedia says, anyway^^^ Quote  deviantART Space and the Relative---Space Art Basics Tut (BETA)

david.atwell
I don't know how much of that I believe, but I would like to see Sally Sparrow as more than a one-off character...;-) Quote  The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

worldnewser
Yeah, for a pretty good episode you would think she'd have more than one appearnce... How am I going to watch Doctor Who without Stage 6? Now I have to stick with low quality Youtube... @vista--there once was a Stage6 user known as "RoseTyler" and those sentences sound a lot like what was on her blog prior to shutdown. Where'd you get the rumors from? oh, and btw, you are really spoiled Quote  deviantART Space and the Relative---Space Art Basics Tut (BETA)

worldnewser
Anyone check out the new Doctor Who trailer on the BBC Website? Looks like there's a new look for the "Time Tunnel", but that could be just for the promo only. I like the last few seconds of it though. Looks like there's a new look for the "Time Tunnel", but that could be just for the promo only. I like the last few seconds of it though. I checked it out myself as well. All I'm gonna gloat about is the timing of the episode. Why 6.20pm - put it back to its traditional 7pm slot!
worldnewser
Yeah, not even RTD agrees with the time slot. In previous years earlier time slots have resulted in a decrease in viewing figures for the programme. Hope that doesn't happen Quote  deviantART Space and the Relative---Space Art Basics Tut (BETA)
Myrddin
Why 6.20pm - put it back to its traditional 7pm slot!Sacrifices have to be made for great splendour. Hope that doesn't happen It's the first episode, everyone is bound to watch the first episode at the least. You usually find ratings are a boom for the pilot of a show/series, then diminish as the non-fans are weaned out.
