Concerning series 4, does anyone agree that Jenny's...

...awakening was not very TimeLordish? The sigh she let out was not like the ones the Doctor made during his recovery in The Christmas Invasion, it looks more like some of the gases from the "Source". And BTW, why does Donna encounter so many insects? :D

Hmm.

Well, it was certainly a very good episode, dramatic yet not the kind of dramatics we have seen in many of the series finales - nevertheless, it was dramatic in its own way. As gripping as it was, it left some questions unanswered and the final wasn't really what I would describe as emotional.

But it certainly was a fantastic send off for DT although my real issue now that I have moved on from feeling rather disappointed about the unaswered questions is the new logo for Doctor Who! Who designed that?

What we have had as a logo since the re-birth was a fantastic logo and it had a fierceness within it which I think represented space and time in a way. With a logo change, I assume there might be change to the titles which I really dread since I just love the time vortex element to these current titles.

Still, I put my trust into the new crew at Doctor Who and see how it turns out.

Yeah, I agree. It was dramatic but not as dramatic as episodes such as Blink and stuff like that.

There was some questions left unanswered, yeah. Annoying little ones that are going to bug me too.

For being the final it wasn’t very emotional at all. Didn’t make me feel pitiful or sad for the Doctor at all.

But it certainly was a fantastic send off for DT although my real issue now that I have moved on from feeling rather disappointed about the unanswered questions is the new logo for Doctor Who! Who designed that?

It’s not a good logo at all is it? I found the animation to be really weird and it didn’t appeal to me at all. The change in titles is the thing that’s going to be to be the hardest thing to deal with as the current titles are superb that means that seeing the Time Vortex is going to be fairly elusive but there you go. The animation of the logo that they showed at the end of the episode on New Year’s Day was… well as I said, weird.

Me too.

I have to admit it is rather clever with the D & W but compared to what we have now, this new logo looks somewhat poor. I will always miss the firey ovaly logo which tied into the awesome vortex titles which we would be loosing (I assume).

I get to read all the spoilers soon...just ordered "the complete specials" on DVD yesterday!

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

I got the box-set a week ago and though it's quite sad, I voted for The End of Time. It's got the unique grandeur and glory that make DW the astounding, unbelievable spectacle it is.

I showed three first episodes of Series 1 to a friend of mine and she immediately wanted to see more :D a week later we had watched episodes all the way to Series 3 :P Apparently it's a very good show.

They're ads that you have (somehow, unknowingly?) blocked and then all that's left is the empty slot in which they were or should be.

Am I correct if I believe I'm up to date with the rest of the civilized world now that I've everything up to the Specials? ie. Series 5 hasn't yet been in any way broadcasted anywhere?

This topic is pretty dead!

Anyway, I LOVED The Eleventh Hour! I thought Matt Smith was great, especially

the kitchen scene where he ate this fish custard

What did everybody think of him?

Is this out in US yet??

Well, I saw the Specials, and I thought they were AWESOME. David Tennant is an excellent Doctor, and his performance was fantastic in the last four episodes. I was very saddened by the end of his "Tenn-ure", (ha-ha) but I am very excited to see what Matt Smith can do. I was dubious, but the last scene of "End of Time" was flat-out phenomenal, and almost sold me on him as the Doctor. I just say almost because I really need to see an entire episode to be sure.

I liked the Eleventh Hour. Matt Smith is pretty good. The series also seems much more sci-fi than rugged adventure (which is how I see the RTD era). I guess the only thing I can say is that I still don't see a distinction between ten and eleven's personality yet. I can still imagine Tennant saying Smith's lines and they would fit just fine. Not quite sure if that's a good thing yet.

That and the music. The graphics are pretty awesome. I don't like the opening theme remix this time though..
