Ah yes, "Midnight". (Don't worry David, I never reveal spoilers outside the episode mentioned unless I use a spoiler box  )

I don't think I've said anything about the episode here so...

Let me just say that the episode was.... interesting for me. I just didn't like how the humans on board the ship were all acting like stuck-up people :x (Like "What's your real name" and "You think you're smarter than us" and that lady in the end saying "I knew it was the other lady" stuff. I don't have the episode to reference to, so I'm just going by memory). It wasn't bad though. Quite creepy..

I also didn't know that the Doctor uses the term "Molto Bene". There. I learned something from that episode after all :P

I hate that there isn't going to be a full season of Doctor Who in 2009. 2010 is when the next full season is going to be. Can't wait for the Christmas special I cannot believe that

I hereby exercise my right to revive this thread!

Anyway, this is something I made with my copy of Photoshop CS4 using this great tutorial:

I know it's not superb, cutting him out wasn't easy either for me but I like this. :D

Anyway, Series 4 OST is on Youtube and has anyone heard the Torchwood play - pretty good. Lastly, is it just me or don't you think that the next Doctor should be a ginger?

Looks good! I agree. And it's sad - David Tennant will be leaving the show after the four specials!

Very sad.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

I totally hated midnight, if it's the one I'm thinking of, it was so utterly inconclusive, which I despise in episodes and nothing was ever explained. The impossible planet however was a very cool concept.

And David Tennant hasn't confirmed he's leaving yet.

@Survulus--Yeah, I sorta disliked Midnight as well..... can't put my finger on exactly why.

And yeah he has. It's even on the BBC site.

@Vista---I bet you got the idea from the last episode of season1 eh? Too bad Ten never used a hologram, it woulda been cool to see. That looks cool though :) Also, I like the Season 4 Soundtrack. Especially the Tablaphone, Song of Freedom and VOTD Suite.

(It's available for download from the Silva Screen Website if anyone's interested...then again, there's always youtube  )

Also liked the Torchwood play. Too bad Torchwood's only gonna be a week long this season. Also (regarding Torchwood)

The Hub gets destroyed at one point. I don't want the Hub to go boom, it's so steampunk styled and cool and has all that Alien stuff in there as well as Myfawny....

Allonsy! Molto Bene!

Did anyone see the Doctor Who Christmas Episode Trailer on Friday? It was awesome :D

For those who want to know what happened in the small 2 minute clip:

Hidden Content:
The Doctor steps out of the TARDIS looking very happy and he walks around for a bit then ask a boy what date it is (getting good at that) and then he hears someone screaming "Doctor! Doctor!" repeatedly. Then he says "Who, me?" He then runs towards this screaming voice and she asks The Doctor who he is "The Doctor" he replies, she says he isn't. Then a man comes running from the background on to the scene and says "Get back, I'll have to use the Sonic Screwdriver (or something like that). Then a Cybershade comes bursting thorugh Then the Doctor and this guy say "Allonsy!" pointing their Sonic Screwdrivers at the gates. .This guy references the TARDIS, the sonic screwdriver and being a Time Lord

Hope that wasn't too confusing!

I can't believe it!

I'm not going to hide this in spoilers, since it's been out for a few days now. It's up to your discretion if you haven't seen it yet and want to be spoiled :P

IMHO, I think this other "Doctor" is a fake. He acts way too proud of his status by saying all of these references to some random person (Tenth Doctor) who just happened to be there.

Although... for a fake he's got Ten's personality down quite good. His clothing and hair are similar to Ten's. He's even got Ten's favorite phrase (Allons-y) and personality (brandishing the sonic screwdriver threateningly. Which is pointless but funny :P) down . This also encourages my idea that he's a fake, because each incarnation would have a totally different style from the previous one (think about Ninth's leather jacket/"Fantastic" and Tenth's trench coat/"Brilliant")

Don't get me wrong, though. I sorta like the way this episode is going to go. I especially like that little eye-glance by both of them at each other when they were brandishing their sonic screwdrivers

Also, I like the fact that the other Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver looks like a stick  It's hard to tell from the youtube quality, but it just looks like a thin black rod to me.

EDIT: No scratch that. It looks like its just a regular (porbably spiced up, but essentially) plain screwdriver! I never thought that someone go so far as turning the iconic "Sonic Screwdriver" into just a plain screwdriver on the show

Well, he seems... eccentric? I'm not sure whether he'll be good or not.

Also, if River Song recognized the tenth doctor then the doctor either showed her photos or sketches of his past self (ie. the notebook in Family of Blood), or she must appear in one of the next three specials before the doctor regenerates.

I'm sure that's nothing, after all, you could argue DT is eccentric with his allonsy-ing but I'm sure Matt Smith can be good because I've seen him before and he wasn't bad but then again, I'm not one of those TV critics that comes up with the most preposterous negative feedback after watching a programme.

Who knows how things will go. Hope he has a nice costume though. I don't think I'll ever be able to get away from my desire to get a brown trench coat

Just curious, but was the Confidential episode any good? I'm thinking about torrenting it but I'm not sure how much time I'll have today to watch it...

Necroposting doesn't apply in this forum. :-) Within reason, of course.

I'm in the USA, so I haven't seen PotD yet. Looking forward to it, though.

It was a brilliant episode, I think. I rather like the monster.

Lost of comic relief in this episode too. Especially liked the part:

Doctor: "I promise"

*proceeds banging the cup with a hammer*
