Rick Brewster
Get it either from the website (http://www.getpaint.net), or from within Paint.NET itself. Note: Make sure you have "Also check for beta releases" enabled. You can access this option by going to Help -> Check for Updates, then clicking on the "Options" button. Please be sure to report any compatibility problems with plugins. NOTE: This is a feature-complete beta. There will be NO new features added between now and the final release. Please DO NOT ask for any new features in this thread. The only thing that matters now is stability. And fixing typos. Change log: * Note: New features will be displayed in English through the Alpha and Beta release(s). The final release will include full translations for the other supported languages. * Improved: Updating performance should now be faster. It used to be the case that two system restore points were created during update (one for uninstall, and one for re-install), but now only one is created to cover the entire transaction. * Changed: Ctrl+Alt+0 now works for "View actual size". This is not listed in the View menu as a shortcut, but should help those used to keyboard commands from Photoshop, etc. * Changed: Some plugins that were causing stability problems are now blocked from loading. They will show up in the File->View Plugin Load Errors dialog. * Changed: Old effect plugin DLL's that have since been integrated into Paint.NET (Glow, Portrait, etc.) are now blocked from loading. * Fixed: For revamped effect configuration dialogs, the first textbox is now auto-selected instead of the OK button. This makes keyboard usage more convenient. * Fixed: Close/Cancel button flickering while downloading an update * Fixed: The floating tool windows (Tools, History, Layers, Color) will double-check that they are on-screen when they are toggled on/off * Fixed: If two images had the text tool active and both had active text being edited, then Backspace would not always be routed to the correct image * Fixed: Open/Save dialogs in Windows Vista with high-DPI would sometimes have garbled thumbnail rendering (fixed by adding "high DPI aware" flag to EXE manifest instead of using SetProcessDPIAware function) * Fixed: Some minor high-DPI glitches in new UI features * Fixed: For newly revamped effect configuration dialogs, the focus rectangle ("dotted rectangle") for sliders is drawn only when necessary * Fixed: Several rare crashes The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html

toe_head2001
I think there should be a max character limit in the HEX box on the Colors window, instead of reverting to FFFFFF when to many values are entered. Fixed: The floating tool windows (Tools, History, Layers, Color) will double-check that they are on-screen when they are toggled on/off That good news for the forum. I'll have to update the number 2 on signature. My Gallery |  My Plugin Pack Layman's Guide to CodeLab
Rick Brewster
The hex box's functionality has not been changed for 3.20. That's how it's always worked (for 2+ years!). Rick Brewster
Yes, I know, I just thought it would be a good time to change it. I said "NO feature requests" at the very top of this thread. Please just respect it and don't waste everyone's time like that. pyrochild
BUG: In the Resize and Resize Canvas dialogs, if you uncheck Maintain Aspect Ratio, switch the radio button to By Percentage, change the percentage, switch radio buttons back to By Absolute Size, and change the height or width spins, the aspect ratio continues to preserve itself, even though the checkbox is still unchecked. ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it! Rick Brewster
Yeah I think Bob reported that; I have a bug filed but don't plan on fixing it for 3.20. Until then, please avoid Konami codes* * http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konami_code The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
pyrochild
Haha, konami codes... Actually, I wasn't spazzing out and randomly clicking between the two options just to see what would happen. There was a method behind the madness. Rationale: I wanted to increase the width of my image by 2.5x. So I went into the % and typed 250%, made note of the width, went back to the absolute size, and typed the pixel value I wanted, and OHmaiGAWSH! Both values changed. Sure, I could use calc.exe, but this was oh so convenient, if it weren't for the bug ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it! MadJik
As with this new version some(most) of my plugins are blocked, I had to update them... So this is the zip of modified plugins that work with this version: Gradient Blur, LightRay, Oblique, Seamless texture maker, Stars, XYCoords. They could have significant changes since the previsious version. ex: Light Rays (new gradient mode as ray). I plan to update each plugin topics when final release will be published. I've also updated other plugins to remove the GUID reference they could have... 16 plugins in total for this zip. I've filed a bug. viewtopic.php?f=12&t=21297&p=114296#p114296 Also, another bug you seem to have not noticed: bug found: in motion blur, the left-most pixel in the image ... I want to say it's not being blurred, but it is... it's just... different. The problem is most obvious when using an angle of 90. If your selection does not include the left edge of the image, it doesn't reproduce. ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it!
