adhanberry
Mozilla's Firefox is my browser of choice. I used to use only IE. People told me Firefox was better, but I ignored them. I finally downloaded Firefox just to try it out. It was UH-MAY-ZING! I really like the simplicity of Firefox and the expandability of Firefox (plug-ins, themes, extensions, et cetera). I am currently using the default theme, but my favorite is "Blue Ice." I once tried Opera. It was really nice, and I didn't see any immediate problems. I don't use Opera just because I am accustomed to using Mozilla's Firefox. I still have Apple's Safari because I wanted to test my webpage on different browsers. That was the only reason I downloaded Apple's Safari. I recommend that no one download this browser. It is slower than Firefox, and it looks simple to use, but Firefox is even simpler. Microsoft's Internet Explorer I still have. I have it only because I'm too lazy to uninstall it. Internet Explorer crashes many times when I use it. Plus, Internet Explorer is not as secure as Mozilla's Firefox. Hi. This is my signature.

As much as I hate IE, you do not want to uninstall it. You'd be shocked at how many programs absolutely require IE to be installed in order to work. It's really rather ridiculous. ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it!

david.atwell
That's OK. Although I do have IE7 Pro installed for the odd occasion I have to use IE (Windows Updates for one). My bank still doesn't list Firefox as a trusted web browser but at least it gives me the option to carry on. IE Tabs can help you there, no? IE Tabs is still IE. All IE Tabs does is load the IE rendering engine into a Firefox tab. Same way Maxthon etc just load IE into their own gui (ok they also edit the source code before sending it to the engine but IE Tabs does not). View something using IE Tabs and you're still at risk from all the vulnerabilities that exist in IE. Sure, but at least you have all your bookmarks and preferences from FF. :-) The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... Crazy Man Dan
I can't believe this thread actually resulted in people switching to FireFox. I can...*groan* Quick! Someone switch from IE to Opera! I think I may have convinced my Dad to switch to Opera. He was using Firefox for a while, then he just kinda stopped. I showed him Opera ("Anything but IE Dad, please..."), and he liked the features, especially Speed Dial. Heck, I like Speed Dial too, but I got the Firefox Extension that does the same thing. DecemberWinds
I think Safari looks a lot cooler. But what I hate about it is that it loads the BROWSER really quickly but the homepage takes FOREVER to load and it freezes up your entire computer too! Crazy Man Dan
Well, I wouldn't. I have so many extensions installed that no theme I've ever tried looks right. Therefore, I just use the default skin. But if you're a Safari kind of person, iSafari is one of the options available.
