Only one vote for safari. That would have been my second choice

Why?!

Have you read all of the preceding posts about safari's overall suckiness? :-)

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

That would be 19 pages to read.

Just kidding. We didn't make fun of Safari that much. :D

It's not that easy to make fun of a bad web browser in the same way as it is with MS Paint.

I vote Firefox, I tried Safari and the bad thing about it is the scroll wheel. Whenever I scroll down a list in flash embedded on a web page, the web browser would scroll down with it.

Smart move. :)

You may want to add a few other Mozilla browsers:

Prism (0.8 ): 65/100

Songbird Alpha (0.4): 66/100

Yup. The experimental Songbird has better rendering than Firefox itself (as well has passing Acid2). Who wudda known.

Actually, today's Minefield (Firefox Nightly) build just scored a 67, putting it exactly on par with the Opera beta, and ahead of everything else, including Songbird.

I just downloaded Songbird. I don't know what it does, but I'm checking it out.

Edit: Oh snap! songbird can play songs saved on your computer. :o

Back on topic now.

Songbird is awesome. It's like Safari+iTunes, but better!

BTW, just ran a test on FF3B2, and it got a 65/100. That's if I run it on default with no addons (i.e., a fresh install).

Songbird is great and now I'm off to download Miro.

So much Mozilla products I need to try out.

how does this test work? (how does the page know how well it is rendered?)

It loads 1000s of tables, lots of text, a few images, and lots of format styling changes, and upon loading, the number increases (very hard to explain how it does that, but I think I know how). It's really only web developers marvel at (it's amazingly complex to write all that code, and know that it's perfect).

No, he will be a new user only now introduced to today's standard compliant web browsers, and will vote for Internet Explorer. Deal with it.

I bet neither firefox or opera are that standards complient. They have to add new features that the W3 don't support to keep up with the competition.
