Stuck Createing a winding stair case please hlp.

Hey guys, I'm trying to create a winding stair case for an album cover for my band. Im kinda stuck i tried to make one and it looks terrible. im new to paint.net so i think maybe im just not doing it the right way. if any one could walk me through how to make one that would be awesome! i want it to be kinda dark and gloomy maybe with some fog or something, blacks and grays.

From what perspective are we looking at the staircase? Maybe you should post a picture of what you are looking for. That or, post your first attempt...

one was done on ms paint. the other on paint.net

Try it with Shape3D. Create a block, angke it the right way, create a new layer, re-angle, relocate on "top" of the first one. Then repeat.
