Reading from the Registry the Paint.NET folder

Many standard users keep asking about installing the plugins. "Once I downloaded the plugin, how can I get it working?"

I know how to do it. You know too. It is also written in the forum. But they don't know it and they don't read the posts.

It is annoying, but ultimately I want to make users happy, even if they don't bother to keep us happy.

So (please forgive me about this preamble), I would like to make a simple installer for my plugins.

So, I have to know, where from the Registry can I get the folder where Paint.NET is installed (if installed at all).

Can anyone help?

Thank you.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / Software / Paint.NET

Grab the "TARGETDIR" key. If it's missing then Paint.NET is either not installed, or incorrectly installed, etc.

Thank you very much!

It's really amasing how I ask a question and I get the exact answer I needed every time!

This really does not happen in other places on the Internet.
