 i'm not a "him" i'm a "her"
So welcome here, miss.
*Strange, but funny, private jokes and random words any newcomer can't understand*
Seeing all that esoteric stuff, I'm really thinking about making this PdN forum history I haven't managed to write.

No. Way. I've just seen Bob. And... *poof!*—just like that—he disappears into the mist again. ~Helio

My profuse apologies! You're still welcome, though. :-)

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Applying Polar Inversion to an image creates a complex look with hardly any work required. Because of this, many first-post-tutorial writers create a thread, titled with any combination of the words [easy|quick|cool|thing], basically amounting to "Draw a bunch of random lines with different colors, apply Glass Tile, use Polar Inversion, and voila, art!", much to the chagrin of many who write actual tutorials - a series of steps that have intricate / diverse / professional / repeatable results.

BB (BoltBait) is an active proponent of non-sucky tutorial writing, and he tends to associate Polar Inversion with pointless tutorials.

And, welcome to our happy board, by the way. :)

My favorite tut is still the one that was essentially:

1. Open Paint.NET (I always groan inside when I see that as the first step...)

2. Find a picture you like.

3. Type some text on it.

4. Save it, and you have your sig!

*shudder*
