007 Nab
Does anybody know why this happens? I zoom blurred and sharpened this picture repeatedly: and got this picture: (I used "Relief" to show grid more clearly) EDIT- here's the history from another one I noticed: Weird effect, huh. I just thought it'd be neat to point it out. Moderators excuse me if I posted in the wrong section Quote "pyrochild, you're my favorite person ever. We should go snowboarding some time."~ 007 Nab. The_Lionhearted
Off the top of my head I'd say it's cause you're sharpening too much...some really random things can happen when you do that.... Quote My Gallery

david.atwell
"Sharpen" makes straight lines where there weren't any before. It has to guess to do so. It's just extrapolating a grid from the zoom effect. There isn't actually one, it's just trying to find some straight lines and coming up with that. That's my understanding, at least. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
