Paint.NET v2.6 Beta 2 is now available

Recommended Posts

Some important bug fixes, and the Curves adjustment is actually useful now (not to be confused with the Line/Curve tool).

Get it in the usual places: (1) the download page ( http://www.eecs.wsu.edu/paint.net/download.html ), or (2) the built-in updater (File -> Updates -> Check Now, and make sure that "Also check for Beta releases" is turned on).

Here's the list of changes since Beta 1:

Curves adjustment is now much, much better
AD/GPO deployment now possible by using the /createMsi parameter with the installer
Fixed another layout issue with the Layers window
Fixed several "SetupNgen" crash errors during setup
Fixed a performance issue with the Pencil tool
Fixed a crash when the user cancelled out of the Scanning wizard
Fixed crash related to images with 0 dpi
Lots of other misc. bug and crash fixes

This is a beta release and will expire on February 15th, 2006, although an update will be available before then. The final release will not expire.
