mikecaines
Hi Everyone! Is there a way to take a "bad" scanned signature (low res, pixelated) and convert it to a good looking signature (smooth, filled lines)? Thanks!
david.atwell
Maybe. You could try to Shift+Magic Wand the empty space, then invert the selection with Ctrl+I and fill with a black filled square. Bit if it's very pixelated, that won't work very well. This is hard to judge without seeing the image myself. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
mikecaines
Here's a good example of a "bad" image (attached). Thanks for your help!
Blooper
Well, do you want to just make the signature thicker? If yes, set white as your primary color, and use the Strip Primary Color plug-in. Duplicate the layer, gaussian blur the bottom layer at a radius of 1, flatten, and if you want, add a white background with a new layer. This is absolutely hypothetical, I didn't try it. You can also try the outline object plug-in instead of gaussian blur to give you the best result. Ash
It's never a good idea to post a sig and have their name as the file name for the whole world to see... For you question: Adjustment  Black and white Dup layer  Set blend mode to Multiply (Few more times as needed) Now you can clearly what needs to be cleaned up Done. Assuming you are not trying to use this method to do crime! :?
