Save As crashs PDN (No log file)

Recommended Posts

This is a 1st for me. When I click Save As Paint.NET opens the dialog box asking were I want to save and as soon as it opens it crashs and so does Paint.NET. I can open an image and click save and that will work but not Save As. Oh my HITMAN what did you do now ?. Only thing I install was AOL AIM, and I do virus checks and spyware checks all the time with AVG and Spybot - Search & Destroy.

Instead of using AIM, use Pidgin. http://pidgin.im

CMD got me to download this one. It's good. It works very well.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Rick is there anyway to fix this or work around this ?

Yeah: don't use that version of AIM. This is not a Paint.NET bug, it is an AIM bug. Please report it to them.

I uninstalled the new version of AOL AIM and it seems to have fixed the problem.

I will have to try this as it even works for Linux :o.

It to bad there not some work around though that could stop AIM from bing mean to other programs. (I wish AIM would stop picking on Paint.NET. He making Paint.NET sad :(.)
