Crimson
Well, there are, say, Facebook applications that you can create with premade programs. Such as the gift system. survulus
I've tried my hand at programming numerous times in numerous ways. As of yet it doesn't greatly appeal to me, I've got to say. Crimson
From the little coding experience I've had (Lego Mindstorm, wrestling with compiling in Ubuntu, a TINY bit of ActionScript and Java) I've got to say it looks pretty fun. The process of writing a piece of code that is both useful and practical is fairly intriguing. Kind of like tackling a hard problem. It makes you think. But then again, I'm Asian. What have I got to say? [/racial generalization] Quote Create A Professional-Looking Product Advertisment Mockup flickr | Deviant Art

Crimson
Haha. My pronunciation isn't THAT bad. And actually, the "r" to Chinese people is usually pronounced like "wr", but actually with some of the "w" sound. Anyway, more happiness: Quote Create A Professional-Looking Product Advertisment Mockup flickr | Deviant Art

survulus
I had a hard time with moles too. And my chemistry teacher making bad "furry mammal" jokes didn't help. Quote Check out all my newest stuff on my dA I iz bassist here

Crimson
What does it do, exactly? Does it create a "mask" over the existing OS, or is it an entirely new one? Sozo
I do believe it is an entirely new shell, as in a new Windows Explorer style program.

Simon Brown
Oh. I thought it replaced the entire OS. Have you ever used GUI Linux? I think Cario Shell does to Windows what KDE or XFCE does to Linux using GNOME (such as Ubuntu).
Mike Ryan
All I have to say is that I have been using Cairo for about five hours and it is sick. Must. resist. urg. to post. SCREENSHOTS! What Cairo does is what Litestep or Emerge Desktop does, it shuts down the Explorer process and introduces a different way to manage, use, and extend your operating system. Cairo is going to be a full featured shell replacement with the possibility of addons and such. Best part is: it is written on the .NET framework so extending Cairo will be a lot of fun. Mike Ryan
I have been a beta tester since February of '08, however M1 (the very first release to private testers) was just released last night around 3:00 am in the morning.
