I just discovered Armagetron Advanced -- http://www.armagetronad.net/.

Absolutely sublime Tron clone. It's a lot of fun...I just spent the last half hour playing this thing. Awesome stuff.

Wow!!! This makes my nerves jittery. Feels like I just had five cups of coffee. Still a lot of fun. Lucky thing the crashes don't hurt 'cause I crash a lot.

No kidding!! :-) I've finally gotten to the point where I don't die every time. I can usually beat the computer...the auto-handicap gives me four computer opponents now. I can't quite beat all four of them yet, but I can usually win when it goes back down to three.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

I think he's talking about the "Classic UI" ribbon pane.

How'd you get it there?

I did my part to direct the future of Indiana and the United States. :-) Our republic still works. That's my happiness.

Hey. This is the sanctuary. :-) Take it somewhere else. Remember, you don't have any power over me anymore--it's now just a race to see who can get to the "permissions" buttons first.

Son, someday you will make a girl happy for a short period of time. Then she'll leave you & be with men that are ten times

better than you can imagine. These men are called musicians. :D

My Happiness:

Windows 7's new troubleshooting feature: Solving the problem for you

Whoa. That's pretty interesting. Could Microsoft actually be putting meaningful work into their next OS? ;)

A Microsoft Help Function that actually helps?

I think the world just turned back over.

(From the upside down it had turned from the Obama election...)

I don't mean to be rude, but Obama was elected, and whether you voted him or not, he will still be our president as of January 20, 2009, so complaining won't do squat. I'm not trying to single you out, David, but this goes out to all of the McCain fans. Personally, I support the views and ideas of most democratic figures, and if I was of voting age, I'd be a registered democrat, so I'm happy with what America decided. It's normal to be happy if something you support succeeds, and its also normal to be upset if something you support fails. However, it's time to live with the fact that Barack Obama will be president in 2009.

When I was 13 I thought I knew everything. When I was 20 I discovered I knew nothing. Today, I know a little bit about everything. Life is interesting because as you grow older you get a little smarter and the smarter you get you realize how much you have yet to learn. I used to say to my mother... "the older I get, the smarter she is."

Okay, I need to stop you RIGHT there. If you're not going to read everything I've said about this, you cannot comment. I was not complaining, I was simply noting the revolutionary nature of what has happened. I was noting that the world has profoundly changed, not complaining about the nature of what has happened.

You mentioned that you are not old enough to vote right now, so you were probably not of age to remember when President Bush was elected four and eight years ago. The complaining by democrats was so oppressive that I had to wear headphones to class every day to avoid hearing the sour grapes from the people who simply wouldn't let it go. But this year, I've been impressed by the response of conservative leaders, urging people to support the President-Elect. I agree with that statement. Though my vote was for the other candidate, Barack Obama is going to be the president of the United States, and I will be supporting him as the leader my country hired. So I've been amazed at how willing to move forward conservatives are compared to liberals of four years ago.

Yes, it's natural to be ecstatic when someone you support succeeds. I have no problem with that. But thank you SO much for being hypocritical and telling me it's normal to be upset but shouting at me to not express an opinion in this matter.

Without understanding what a person has said and what their point of view is, you have no right to yell at me.

Sorry that this had to happen in the Sanctuary, but you started it. :-)

And, since this is the Sanctuary, here's my happiness: My kitchen is clean and sparkly! It's a lot of work, but it's nice that it's finally done.

But you have to admit, we were getting Bush for another four years... There was ample reason to complain. ;)

I can't really say anything, because I voted for the guy - I was raised in a staunchly Republican household, plus I didn't really like Kerry. These days, I have no real party affiliation, I just try to be as well educated about all sides as possible.

My happiness:

My cold let up a bit - I'm finally getting out of the house again today! :)
