Zwicky
Happiness: My surgery went really well today! The first injection hurt a bit, but by the fourth it was actually quite pleasant, and the rest of the operation was, dare I say it, quite fun. 0.o Injections are never pleasant...! Tarat
The injection that had the calming stuff that they gave me before my surgery was pretty pleasant...granted, they put it in my IV instead of my arm, but still...~_~

Happiness: A friend just e-mailed me to tell me that Emily broke up with her boyfriend, _at last_. Of course, it was inevitable, considering what he was like. Still, a nice way to cheer me up after missing school.
Kemaru
Oh that's right, is that the person towards whom you had limerent feelings? Rubrica
Thank God, someone who uses the term limerence - and correctly, at that. I've had to print out little pieces of paper, the size of business cards, explaining, in short, what limerence is. Anyway,, yes, it is, the difference from before being that she is aware of it. Kemaru
You're welcome... I had to use the wiktionary and a thesaurus so I could find the definition for the term (I remembered that you'd used it before), but I couldn't find a good one. Finally, I found a USA Today article which states that limerent people's behaviour is comparable to that of a drug addict or people suffering from OCD. From this I drew the conclusion that limerence is the intense, obsessive need for affection (or love, I'm not sure) from someone, something beyond infatuation in intensity. Rubrica
Well, I _do_ have OCD, and it's led me to a conclusion; OCD is characterised by the compulsions (neatness, hand-washing, et cetera) that I display, but it's also defined by the intrusive, inappropriate thoughts, of which I have none. However, intrusive thoughts are also a symptom of limerence, which leads me to believe that my limerence is a manifestation of my OCD, hence explaining the lack of usual intrusive thoughts; they're replaced by limerent intrusive thoughts. Of course, this conclusion is of no help whatsoever.
Zwicky
I suppose sympathy possibly isn't the correct response, but I wish you well in dealing with OCD and limerence, Rubrica. Tarat
Happiness: Kemaru and Rubrica's conversation has cause me to go look up the word "limerent". I also realized, based on what I looked up, that I have limerent thoughts on occasion as well. IDK if that's good though...lol.....Did I use that right?
