007 Nab
That is the exact camera I want - haha I offered my parents to pay for $300 (of $699) for it, they said they'll wait for my b-day (August!) so I'm not getting a nice shiny new camera for a while... But props to you man! Have you enjoyed its quality? What's your favorite feature? Kemaru, what do you intend on doing with a circular polarizer? Kemaru
Polariser helps reduce reflections and it makes the sky look a little better (realistic hue and clearer clouds). Rubrica
Happiness: I just received my secret Santa present(s!). What did I get? A bag of cookies and a monocle. I've never felt more complete.
007 Nab
I seriously have asked for cookies for Christmas as part of my 'list' for the past 6 years And a monocle? That ought to... come in handy Thanks for the info Kemaru - I looked at some pics on wiki and saw what you were mentioning. Quote "pyrochild, you're my favorite person ever. But props to you man! Have you enjoyed its quality? What's your favorite feature? My favorite feature is definitely LiveView, something people with point-and-shoots take for granted, but immensely helpful when using a DSLR. Also, you can buy a camera 1 step up, the T1i, for only $20 more (or $90 LESS if you already have a lens). It has 3 more megapixels, a better sensor, and VIDEO MODE. On second thought, don't buy that, 'cause I'll be jealous. I can't take anyone with a monocle seriously. I saw Ace Ventura. @Nab: Consider Nikon, they're great, too. Rubrica
I do really like my monocle though; I've wanted one since I was three. ... I just realised how weird that is.
Mike Ryan
My happiness: Paint.NET. I am currently taking a class known as 'Miniature Illusionistic Painting' in which we take a Magic: the Gathering card (yes, even my art teacher is an MTG freak) and extend the artwork throughout the rest of the card. If it wasn't for Paint.NET, I wouldn't be able to mix these colors nearly as well nor have such an understanding as to how artwork elements come together. And, because of my newfound skill with acrylic paints I got invited into the AP Art program for next year. This pretty much guarantees me a scholarship to SCAD. oma
Well done Mike! You should be really proud of your new found additional art skills. What a journey of exploration into art you have taken. I look forward to viewing some of those acrylic painted pieces. Do you have any on a DA account yet for displaying them? ciao OMA Quote My Deviant Art Gallery Oma's Paint.Net gallery

pyrochild
wiki says "The FDA has approved LASIK for age 18 and over. 007 Nab
How do you determine whether or not your eye is stable? "well, it's not jiggling around in my head any more" Good to know that its 18 instead of 21. You gonna do it? Or - too pricey? Quote "pyrochild, you're my favorite person ever. pyrochild
Stable as in your contact/glasses prescription isn't changing. Too pricey and unnecessary for a college kid. BoltBait
You're right about it being somewhat risky for a college kid. It tends to dry your eyes out a bit. This is big trouble for someone that reads a lot (like a college kid).
