Brett445
Can paint.net allow me to fade in from white on the left side of my graphic? Many Thanks Brett
david.atwell
The gradient tool in Alpha mode will help you accomplish this. Hint: and :AlphaChannel: - you can hold shift to constrain the angle. Brett445
And when I try using the gradient key it fades out with a checkered square pattern. I just wanted to fade in from white on the left of the graphic like the graphic in the attached file.
david.atwell
"Alpha Mode" essentially means Transparency Mode. It uses Transparency as an actual color. "Constraining an Angle" means that, when you change the angle of the gradient, it won't smoothly change in degrees, but will instead jump to 15-degree increments. This allows you to have a perfectly-aligned gradient, instead of one that is slightly off-angle. If you just want to fade to white, add a layer to the bottom ( :AddNewLayer: , then  ) and bucket fill it ( :FillSelection: ) with white. The checkerboard pattern just represents a transparent area. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior...
