xbamyourdeadx
I feel like an idiot. I can't figure out what the heck is going on with one of my layers. It blocking out the other layers COMPLETELY! Can someone help moi out? I want to post the thing on my deviantart tonight!
Myrddin
Does that layer have a solid colour background to it? So you have a solid colour* and your image all on one layer? If so, you should try alpha masking, Magic Wand or any other means to cut out the image so you can see through to the other layers behind. In fact better still, post a screenshot of your canvas and Layers window and post it here. *actually, I say solid colour but it could be any kind of background colour, be it solid or gradient, the fact is though it will have full opacity. xbamyourdeadx
Sorry I kind of restarted but this happens to me everytime. should I try doing the background layer 1st? I tried changing the transparency, and you could see the picture beneath it. Its just the effect went over the picture. Its weird.
Hellfire010
1. Make sure you are actually using mulltiple layers. When you finish one layer, create a new one to continue. 2. If you are using multiple layers, note that you can move layers up and down by using the blue arrows in the layer window. Layers on top appear on top, and will cover anything underneath it (unless transparent). 3. You can modify a layer's transparency by double clicking on it in the layers window. xbamyourdeadx
I did that, and its still being stubborn! (i feel like i'm talking about a person.)
Hellfire010
If you're still having this problem post a picture of your layer window and canvas, or upload and post the .pdn file. Otherwise, I can't really know what you mean.
xbamyourdeadx
Here's an example of what I mean. (Sorry, the program I used to save it wouldn't let me save the other window with it. So there's the layer box with 2 different images checked off but the 1st won't appear!)
Ash
Better yet, post the pdn file. Quote All creations Ash + Paint.NET [ Googlepage | deviantArt | Club PDN | PDN Fan ]
Hellfire010
PDN file would be best but... It looks like you either did the gradient effect on the same layer as your picture, therefore deleting it. OR, you did it on the top layer and its just covering the rest, in which case you should try either moving it down or changing the blending modes by double clicking the layer or going to layer -> properties.
