Joost
I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but: I'm looking for a program that can break up an animated gif into different images. Just the excact opposite of .gif animators

Glitchy82
Did you ever think of that you could just print screen all of them if it isn't that many frames? Quote Visit these >> [Blog|Site|Wiki]
oma
a good free one I use often is IrfanView. works really well for this application. Quote  My Deviant Art Gallery Oma's Paint.Net gallery
Ghost Ranger
Another program to break an animated GIF is Paint.NET (or most any image editing program for that matter). Just open the image in Paint.NET, and save, and poof, the animation is completely broken.
Ash
? wouldn't that be just the 1st frame? Quote All creations Ash + Paint.NET [ Googlepage | deviantArt | Club PDN | PDN Fan ]

cjmcguinness
The same software used to create an anime .gif, such as Beneton Movie GIF can be used to to split them up. Launch Beneton, then open an anime .gif file. This will load the .gif as individual frames. There is then an option to 'save animation as a batch of image files' - it's the icon with the save disk and '123' on it. You can export as either .bmp or .gif image files. supplying a filename which will be used with number extensions. So they will be exported as 'frame1', 'frame2', etc...
