AlanHong Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Hi, I am trying to change the color image into either 8 bit grayscale or 1 bit black and white one and save toa new file. But seems the Paint.Net always keep 24 bit true color image. Can anyone help? Thanks, Alan Quote
spike 121 Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 well you can change the photo it self to greysclae or black and white, but as far as i now you cant save it in those forms, why would you want to anyway? Quote "No. Dreaming is illegal."~Pyrochild
Bob Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Actually, as you noticed, you can't save pictures in other format than 24-bit... yet. IIRC, there is no plan to add greyscale or b&w, but if you have some coding abilities, you may write a file format plugin to extend those limits. Quote No. Way. I've just seen Bob. And... *poof!*—just like that—he disappears into the mist again. ~Helio
Mr Frojo Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Spike, theres several reasons why you would want to save it in lower quality. The reason why I want that feature is for texturing stuff in games. It would be great if somebody could write a plugin for doing that. Quote I'm still alive!
