Bob
Specs: 32bit XP SP2 P IV 2.4, 512 RAM, all known updates. French Windows, English PdN. I updated Paint.NET today from (last?) RC to Final. I've a Paint.NET.3.10.RC.2786.zip on my Desktop so I think it's this one. Opening some pictures, I noticed my Effects menu was shorten than before, but thought "hey, this beer I've just drunk must be cheating me". Worked quickly with some pictures, closed Paint.NET. Reopened it to look at the new Frosted Glass+, open the effects menu, and boom! No effects but the included ones (including Soften Portrait). Something may be wrong in my effects folder, I thought. Go to check it, nothing look wrong, go to the parent folder (C:/Program Files/Paint.NET/), and at the end of the folder: - the EdHarvey.Effects.Beta.dll (I must have misplaced it because I download files in Ubuntu and copy/paste them in the Effects folder, I don't think it's Ubuntu's fault here). - the Squishx64 and x86 dll. - the DDSFiletype.dll - maybe another dll (too much beer in a week end). Thought "well, I must have misplaced them", select them, shift-delete. Reopen Paint.NET, and boom. See screenshot. These files aren't, and weren't in my Filetypes folder. There were straight in the Paint.NET folder. dir when the screenshot still appears: C:\Program Files\Paint.NET>dir Le volume dans le lecteur C n'a pas de nom. Bob
Removed all Effects & Filetypes, causing PdnRepair to execute (missing dds's dll), next redownloaded and reinstalled all Effects and Filetypes. My Paint.NET is doing fine, thanks for your attention. Quote No. Way. I've just seen Bob.
