Highscore 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2007 Who saw that last night? First rookie to ever pitch a no-hitter for the Red Sox. Video Coverage And how about when Dustin Pedroia ate a face full of dirt to make the out. What a night.
BuzzKill 10 Report post Posted September 2, 2007 I didn't catch it live but I saw it on SportsCenter. It was a lift the Red Sox needed. Good for him/them. And what about about that kid from the Twins, Scott Baker, who pitched a perfect game into the ninth inning. Now that was something...
Bob 4 Report post Posted September 2, 2007 How can you 'mericanz watch basketball, football, hockey, and baseball? I can't even follow the French soccer league each week!!
BuzzKill 10 Report post Posted September 2, 2007 Being that I played basketball, football, and ran track throughout middle/high school, sports have always played a role in my life. I guess we all have our own interests.
Helio 2 Report post Posted September 2, 2007 How can you 'mericanz watch basketball, football, hockey, and baseball?I can't even follow the French soccer league each week!! I don't follow any of those, actually. But I do follow tennis! Do you go to see the French Open?
Bob 4 Report post Posted September 2, 2007 Do you go to see the French Open? Too far and expensive. 140€ just for a train round-trip ticket, + hosting and actual tickets... And I'm not really fond of tennis. But the father of a close friend go to Rolland Garros every year, and buy tickets for the Grand Prix de Tennis de Lyon every year too. I'm in Lyon's suburbs, so transport is really cheaper. But I wanted to watch the Soccer's Champions League qualifications live this year, going to Barcelona or Stuttgart (~500km), but UEFA (European Soccer Asso.)'s Marketing Team said: "Hey, why not playing on Tuesday and Wednesday, so nobody can come and watch the matches! Empty stadiums! Totally cool!". Last year, when I lived in Lyon's center, sometimes I "stole" a friend unlimited pass (150€/1y :? ) for the National League matches at the Olympique Lyonnais stadium. If you come occasionnally, tickets are pretty cheap (15€) but the atmosphere (and gameplay )is weak compared to Spanish/Italian/English stadiums and nobody sing if you're not at the center of the curve. But we have much as murdered by hooligans as in those other countries, go figure. N.B: ~ 1$ < 1€ < 1.5$ Now you don't care/understand anything about soccer, so you're totally lost, my apologizes

MRavioli 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2007 i like socccer too. a lot, in fact. its just annoying to watch. 75-80 minutes of the game is just spent passing it up and down the field in failed attempts to score
