Alx
Hello all, I'm not really an expert concerning graphic design. And I would like to set the transparency color of my gif file as the first color in my palette. I don't understand how I can do that. I'm completely lost. Could you please explain me how to do that ? For information, the gif file on which I want to do that is that one: Thanks in advance for any help, it would be really appreciated. Best regards, Alx
Ben_R_R
I'm not completely sure I understand the question, so if this is the wrong answer just let me know. It sounds like you want to make all the the pixels of a certain color transparent. the best way to do that in PDN is to first select magic wand from the toolbar , then set the tolerance slider to 0% then hold down Shift and click on a pixel of the same color as the ones you want to be transparent, this will select all the pixels in the image that are that same color, then press delete. Tolerance Slider: Hope this helps. Quote I'm finally on dA!
Alx
It's not my actual problem. Anyway, thanks for trying to help me. As you can see on the gif file, I already have a color defined as a the transparency one. I want this color to be indexed as the 1st one in the color palette. And I don't know how to do that. BuzzKill
Use the color picker tool :ColorPicker: to select your transparent color as the primary color. Then add it to the palette. I Like Pi
BuzzKill, Paint.NET's color palette is not the same as the palette used when saving a GIF. Each GIF file has its own palette of up to 256 colors. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GIF Paint.NET does not allow customizing the GIF's color palette. It's simply not possible.
