saving in layer form

Good afternoon,

I was wondering if someone could tell me how to save an unfinished project in layer form. What I mean is, sometimes I work on a picture for more than a couple of hours and I was hoping I could save the picture with the history and the different layers.

Just save as a .PDN file.

The history cannot be saved. There was a long discussion about it awhile ago, if you are interested please search for it.

I thought the question before i opened my pdn file. As long as it saves the layers that's OK by me and Paint.net is going to spread just by word of mouth alone, excellent program.
