spike 121
personally, flyff is better than rrunescape, but you have to download an installer for flyff which takes forever, and the private servers of WoW are pointless, dont try those Quote "No. Dreaming is illegal."~Pyrochild

david.atwell
The REAL question is....how do you pronounce MMORPG? "Em Em Oh Are Pee Gee," or "Muh-Moar-Pig"? Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Mr Frojo
Heres what I used to play. http://www.kingdomofloathing.com Its not really an mmorpg. It kinda is, but not really. Its free though. Its a cool, text based game. It gets pretty fun, and you dont have to devote a ton of time into it. A cool little thing to keep open in another tab. You've got to give it a little time though. It will seem stupid/pointless in the begenning, but it gets pretty fun. Ill probobly get back into that sometime soon. Im not sure why I stopeed. Quote I'm still alive! MRavioli
silkroad has tons of server problems, it takes 5 minutes to log on. Yata
You try programming a game in Java and see how perfect the graphics are. Jagex stands for Java Gaming Experts, so its not ike they can program it in another language. Mr Frojo
Making an mmorpg in java would be hard, but for games, I would much rather play games with good gameplay and graphics than knowing that the game was hard to make. People just seem to use that as an excuse when people say that runescape has bad graphics. When I play a game, I really dont care what language it was written in. Quote I'm still alive! Stephan
Bweeugh... Asian MMORPG's= Grinding Give me my copy of BF2142 (plus Northern Strike) and i'll be happy to play it, ços it's balanced, and more fun. Sometimes we even do T33m5p33k RPG's... I'm not a fan. I have Oblivion, but that's all. I think the MMO aspect of RPG's only makes it worse: Lag+Spam+Scams+terrible controls=MMORPG. For example, combat is clicking on your enemy, and selecting an attack. I don't wanna do that! I wanna seek cover, paary, throw grenades where I Want them, not where some "Get 500 weasel skins" quest needs them to be: At the other end of quest, namely some other priest who wants his holy hand grenade back . If I want to collect 500 weasels skins, (Those weasels seem to litter there anyway, and appear out of thin air, so who cares...) It'll be a huge Fragfest, not some lame 1 on 1 fight with a weasel for goodness sake.

Mr Frojo
I agree with you. IMO, morrowind/oblivion are way better than any mmorpg's out there. Much better graphics, less lag, no monthly fee, much better gameplay, better features (ex. ragdoll physics in oblivion), and they're just overall better games. If you want to do an online game, than go ahead. The only thing that they have that other games dont is the fact that they're online. I still much rather perfer to a wide variety of single player/LAN games than just mainly sticking to 1 mmorpg. Quote I'm still alive!
