Haruspex
Hi, i am using Paint.NET for some days now and it has all the abilities i need. However i try to find an option to rotate the text i inserted with the text tool clockwise or counterclockwise but i can only just move it around. Can Paint.NET do this? Sorry in advance for the n00b question.
david.atwell
Sure! Put it on a blank layer and then use "Layers > Rotate/Zoom." Don't apologize. We were all newbies once. :-) (Besides, you can't apologize in advance for something you already did ;-)) Hope this helps! Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
Ben_R_R
You could also select the text and right-click on the nubs on the selection. Whatever works best for you. Quote I'm finally on dA!

Myrddin
1) Add a new layer (:AddNewLayer: in the Layers window); 2) Use text tool as you normally would have. Quote How to Save Your Images under Different File Types My dA Gallery
Haruspex
Thanks that works, however i have one last problem. After i rotate the text how can i put back the little square with the four arrows so i can move the text again, because when i rotate it, it moves to a different location in the image and i don't know how to put it back. Paint Boy
What I usually do is create text in a new layer select the text cut it and then right click.

You can't as once it's done, it's done. However, you can try this method: - use the Rectangle Select Tool () to select the text, and the Move Selection Tool () to adjust selection if necessary; - then use the Move Pixel Tool ( (different to the cursor icon above)) to move the selection about. For a more in-depth look you could try the help files which can be found in the link provided below or by pressing F1 while in Paint.NET.
