Canvas occasionally ignores input (PdN 3.10 beta 2)

I'm waiting until it happens again so that I can try to note the exact details (since it doesn't actually crash PdN).

Basically, I'm editing, I do something (vague feeling it was either a layer operation or a history operation...better details will come after a repeat occurrence), and suddenly I can't paint or place text on the active layer.

Switching layers a few times seemed to make the bad behavior stop, but again, this is an initial report of something that I was pretty much ignoring in the beta...until I realized "oh, yeah. I'm kind of a beta tester, aren't I?"

Trying my best to reproduce the problem today and give better info.
