Question about layers

Recommended Posts

Make selection then do Edit/Cut and it will apply only to highlighted layer. I am very new at this too. I am still learning but that works for me. Hope it helps.

With the way Paint.NETs layer system currently operates, all layers are the same size as the whole image. So, technically you can't "crop" a single layer.

However, once you have the part of the layer you wish to keep selected, you can press [Ctrl]+ to invert the selection, then press [Delete] to remove the area you don't want.
