Rick Brewster
I never realized there was a dotPDN LLC. When did that happen? Recently. I'm the sole proprietor. The site is quite rough at the moment. david.atwell
Angry PdN users? Tell me it ain't so, BB! Tell me it ain't so! @Rick - I'm happy to hear that PdN has a company name to attach to it. Sort of lends more credence (in the public eye) to the program; people can tell now, without us assuring them so, that we're not just going to suddenly stop supporting PdN at some point down the pipe. By the way, putting a link to getpaint.net on paint.net is pretty helpful for my mom. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to run through installing this program with her... usedHONDA
Yeah, I remember you saying earlier that the Warren Paint dude was going to sell the domain for $40,000 or something crazy like that. Also, Rick, are you going to move the getpaint.net files to paint.net and set getpaint to redirect to paint? Rick Brewster
Jeff (Warren Paint) still owns the domain, it is just redirect to my page. I have Google Analytics hooked up to that redirect page, so I'll be able to figure out how much extra traffic I get from it. For instance, if I only get $1/day extra worth of traffic, then I'm fine keeping it as a redirect because paying 5 figures for it wouldn't make sense. It would take decades to recoup the cost Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html

Paint_boy
Yay Finally... Will you have be able to redirect the page to getpaint.net or possible change the url to paint.net?
Crazy Man Dan
It depends upon Warren Paint Company. They own the domain, and it used to be an automatic redirect to warrenpaint.com. Since PDN is gaining popularity rapidly, they've been kind enough to set up a disambiguation page on paint.net so people can more easily find what they're looking for. In order to make it a redirect to getpaint.net or move the current site over to paint.net, Rick would have to purchase the URL from Warren. You can read this blog post for an explanation straight from the Rick's mouth.
