If you don't like them, then you really shouldn't be using them as your sig. The signature should be an expression of you, now what everyone else happens to be doing. Unless your defining characteristic that you want to share with the world is that you are a mindless follower...

I know, Pyrochild. I have sadly succumbed to the ways of the world! Only joking...I've only succumbed to the ways of people in the Paint.NET foruming (is "foruming" even a word?!) world.

Well, blogging is a word, so I suppose that foruming is one as well.

As for the bars, I do not like them. They confine the content into such a small package its just not graphic design to me... not to mention you can't really express much in such a small space. Color and theme play a large role in designing things, and I, for one, try to design things that express myself. Expressing myself in 20x? pix just isn't feasible.

personally, i think they're only worth it if you have about 500 of them animated, so you can sit there for 2 hours and watch them scroll by.

every 100th one or so has to be silly, like 'Oxygen User', just for added giggles.

Yata, what you said about expressing yourself in 20 pixels really makes sense. I understand what you mean by that. Maybe in a week I'll think of a new sig or something..

In my opinion, everyone that uses these bars in their sig should include this one.

I thought it was just ironic enough that I couldn't *not* make that one.

BoltBait, I just noticed this today, and I could be wrong, but is your sig crooked? Is it rotated just a degree or two clockwise? Might be my monitor at work messing with my eyes, but I need to know if it's just me or if everybody else sees it.

Copy and paste it into Paint.NET... draw a few red guide lines... then, you tell me.

Is the bottom edge of the "table top" crooked? Is the text running down hill?

Well, that's definitive. It is *not* crooked.

At first I thought it was that the "www.boltbait.com" text's top is slightly higher that the "Download these plugins" text, but I shuffled them around a bit and still got the same misperception in my head.

Then I noticed that the most obvious visual clue for "level-ness" is the two blank dominos in the upper right corner. They appear to be heading downhill to the right, while at the same time appearing to be parallel with the "table edge"...my mind decided that if they were angled *and* parallel with the table, then the table must be angled as well.

It's actually an intriguing optical illusion.

I have my user bars to show that I like Paint.NET, World of Warcraft(not guildwars, but I had fun making the bar :P), firefox and the simpsons. Like a little FAQ
