What music are you listening to?

I love this song ... strangely no-one else I know, knows it 🙄

Lots of Pink Floyd lately. Dark Side of the Moon and The Division Bell, but also A Momentary Lapse of Reason (new favorite!).

great song. terrible video

Agreed.  The 80's - I hate to think of how many bad videos the birth of MTV spawned,  just to get air time.  I remember Journey having an awful one

I've never been a Pink Floyd fan but would have to say The Dogs of War from said album is a very, very good track

On a mission to play every Bowie album this week

At first I thought that track was meh but then I listened to the whole album with some cannabis and was blown away by how awesome it was.

This is now my go-to album for "music meditation". That is, listening to music while kinda taking a nap but actually meditating (not trying to fall asleep).

Nothing like a bit of ganja to open the mind to how good a track or album is.  One thing I miss more than the beer,  is a nice, fat skunk spliff and listening to music.

And yep I get the whole 'music meditation' thing ... it's got my head straight to tackle difficult jobs, more than once.

Not so sure why people think tokers get incapable ?  Great fun on a chainsaw ... really focuses the mind ...

Having a break from Mr. Bowie before the wife brains me

Etta James.  Ruby Turner.  Koko Taylor.  All  ladies singing this together would be mind blowing ?

I'll see your Koko Taylor and raise you Beth Hart's version.

Damn.  Kicking myself.  I'll fold.  My poker face is only marginally better than Lady Gaga's ...

That's on my favourite album out of her  collab's with Joe Bonamassa.

Was it £'s or NZ $'s ?

I miss the days when I didn't just listen to music but was in an environment where you could feel it pumping through you

If you've never been to a Taiko (Japanese drumming) performance, I highly recommend going.

I'll do that.  Thanks for the tip

I've just been listening to / watching Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers.  Might not be totally authentic (?) but  I could go for 2 hours of that.  They're in my local Arts Centre November 14th.  I always like to try new experiences.  Japan is one country I'll always regret not being able to go to.  The culture.  The people.  The countryside.

Edit.  Booked.  The wife is either going love you or curse you 😉

So this is rather tame but I love this guy, loved the show & love this version. I think his voice was lovely. RIP old man. You left a great legacy.

Listening to Mick Martin's Blues Party radio show today while driving...

I'd be lying if I said I'd never felt this exact same way... :D
