What music are you listening to?

Recommended Posts

My favourite version of this song, first performed as Rebetiko in Athens, in 1927.

EDIT: Versions of this song are also popular in Arabic and Hebrew music.

For anyone interested, here's a blog with 326 different covers of Misirlou in many gernes and languages: http://4misirlou.blogspot.gr/

EDIT 2: Unfortunately most of the links on the blog are dead but I'll keep the link on my post as proof of the song's near century-old history and popularity. More (rather poor and basic) information on the song on the wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misirlou

I'm pretty sure I've posted the "Loudness" song "Esper" before in this thread...

Anyway, I can't wait until Babymetal girls age out of the band and join the grand dads!

Since we're getting close to the Halloween season...

I was going to post a video by The Cramps... but, I really couldn't find a "family friendly" video... :D

Poison Ivy ♥️ Candy Del Mar ♥️ can really Tear It Up, LIVE!

Personally, I think Poison Ivy is a totally underrated guitar player.

BTW, The Cramps originated in my home town, Sacramento CA.

To be honest here, I only like music that has no lyrics (basically just tunes)

18 good, varied instrumental songs to show some breadth of what I listen to in the instrumental category. Mostly rock with jazz or electronic elements.

I've got some 3000 songs now in my collection, much of which is lyrical.
